The Story Begins...
"Katelyn and I met online in November of 2018. We went on our first date on January 4th, 2019 to a bowling alley called Lighthouse Lanes. The first game we ever played we ended up tying! The second game she crushed me, and I haven't won a game since.
One night, we were playing dominoes with my grandma and Katelyn was helping her remember how to play. It was that night, I knew I had fallen in love with her.
Valentine's day, I told Katelyn I loved her for the first time. Fast forward a few months, after many more game nights, a lot of laughs, some tears, and a few hundred goofy photos, I decided to propose!"
The Proposal
"I proposed to Katelyn on July 27th 2019, at Sunshine Lanes. She was bowling her 10th frame when I got down on one knee and she turned around and froze. She slowly walked over to me and began to cry as I asked her to marry me. She said, 'Yes!' I couldn't dream of a better person to spend the rest of my life with. We were so blessed to have both of our families there to witness the whole thing!"
Favorite Moments:
Zach- "Watching Katelyn walk down the aisle, and it was perfect."
Katelyn- "Walking towards the man of my dreams and praying with him over our future. It was wonderful!"
Choosing Timber Line Barn
"Getting married in the midst of a pandemic is not for the faint of heart. What we thought was going to be an added stress to our big day, turned out to be the biggest blessing as we had to switch venues a month before our wedding. The Lord directed us to Timber Line Barn and when Tara gave us a tour, we knew this was meant to be. It is truly beautiful inside and out. It accommodated all of our needs and was the perfect setting for the start to our forever. Tara and her husband made us feel so welcome and wanted to do all they could to help our wedding day be so special. We are so thankful for Timber Line Barn!"
Advice for Couples
"We LOVED the goodie barn at Timber Line Barn. This helped our budget so much. I also borrowed my veil, which was a huge blessing. My advice is to find people with talents in your life hat are willing to use them as their wedding gifts to you. My cousin did all of the flowers (we bought them at Sam's Club), my hair and make up was done by my friend who has done my hair for years, Zach's step-dad made our unity cross, and my mom cooked all of the food, for some examples. Our families were so helpful and were with us every step of the way." - Katelyn
